No, it does not cost anything to take a tour. 

Appointments are reccommended but we do accept walk-ins if we are available. 

Management is very accessible at our property.

It takes 24-72 hours for an application to be approved.

You can pay your rent with a personal check, cashiers check, money order, online through the resident portal via ACH, debit card, or credit card. If you have any quesitons, please contact our office for more information. 

You can pay your rent online through the 21 E Chestnut website. 

Each month there is a utility fee in addition to your rent every month. Fees vary depending on your unit type, so if you have a question about your unit's fees, please reach out to our leasing office for more information. 

Yes, to live at 21 E Chestnut, you're required to have renters insurance. 

None of your utilities are covered in your monthly rent. The items included in your utility package that you pay a monthly fee for are internet, cable, water, gas, sewer, trash, and recycling. 

To set up your electricity, please call ComEd.

Yes, we offer a bonus for referring to a friend. Please contact our leasing office for more information. 

There is no limit for guests in our community. For amenities, please limit your guests to 2 guests per amenity space. 

Yes, you're able to sublet your apartment. 

If you break your lease you will have to pay a 2-month lease termination fee, pay back any concessions received during your current lease term, and give a 60-day notice. 

Yes, we offer short-term leases. Please contact the leasing office for more information. 

No, we don't offer corporate leases. 

Amenities

We have a rooftop pool and terrace, grills, fitness center, business center, amazon hub lockers, after hour security, laundry facilities, and bike storage. 

Our pool is open daily from 8am-8pm. The rooftop is open daily from 8am-10pm.

Yes, parking is available. 

Washer/dryer hookups are not standard in every unit and the location of the hookups depends on the unit type. Please contact our leasing office for more information. 

Stove, dishwasher, microwave, and a fridge. 

Yes, we offer furnished apartments. 

Please contact our leasing office to see our availability for furnished apartments. 

All packages are placed in Amazon Hub lockers or in the lobby. 

The fitness center is open daily from 6am-10pm.

Our fitness center is equipped with treadmills, free weights, a rower, stationary bikes, olipticals, kettlebells, medicine balls, and a cable machine. 

Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. There are no fees for using communal spaces unless you reserve the party room, which would be a charge of $75/hour. 

Pet Policy

Yes, our community is pet friendly. 

There is a $500 one-time pet fee and a $20/month charge for pet rent. 

There is no weight restriction, but there are breed restrictions. Please contact our leasing office for more information. 

No, we do not have an on-site pet park.

Our address is 21 E Chestnut St. Chicago, IL. Our community is accessible by car, public transit, or walking. 

The cross streets on our property are Chestnut/Wabash. 

Yes, there is public transportation within close proximity of the building. 

Our community is by Washington Square Park. 

The nearest dog park is 0.2 miles from the property. 

The lakefront trail is less than a 1/2 mile away. 

Residents shop at Oak Street, Michigan Avenue, or 900 North Michigan Shops. 

The nearest coffee shops are Big Shoulders Coffee, which is less than a block away. 

Yes, you may decorate your apartment however you want, but the unit must be restored to its original condition upon move out. 

Maintenance

Before you move in we clean, paint, and make any repairs necessary to make the apartment as new as possible. 

Yes, we have on-site maintenance. 

Please enter a work order through the resident portal. 

Our maintenance team will come to your unit within 24-48 hours to asses and assist you with any issues. 

No, you don't have to be present for a service technician to perform maintenance. 

Please call the emergency maintenance number and our on-site team members will be able to assist you.
